Virgin Broadband -Content Rich Search Optimised site
Objectives: Virgin Broadband required a content rich search optimised site to attract customers to their new broadband offerings
- Create a two pronged content site one prong with marketing style pages and the other with pages specifically written to capture unpaid or natural search
- Detailed research was undertaken into why people would seek wireless or mobile broadband
- It was found many reasons centred on cost and there was also a general dissatisfaction with dialup / home phone services
Virgin Broadband had a unique offering that meant people could get a broadband package that allowed a home phone to be connected to it thereby making home phone connections obsolete.
Freestyle Media position over 25 purpose built pages to capture each of the identified key phrases such as (no home phone, mobile broadband, broadband bundle). The plan was to attract customers in via search and then map the user path through subtle call to actions through the site and ultimately onto purchase.
The position of the search articles as had great success and the Virgin Broadband suite of products continues to be an extremely successful offering in the marketplace.
